While Roulette betting systems cannot guarantee that you will win more, they can definitely help you. Most importantly, the use of strategies often makes the game more challenging and interesting!

Labouchére is one of the systems that use progressive betting to optimise the outcome of the gambling session. In this, the Labouchére system is similar to Martingale and is sometimes even called split Martingale. However, one great advantage of Labouchére system is its flexibility – something that minimises the risks of big losses for the player, and is applicable with big and small bankrolls.

Labouchére asks for some planning before you start placing the bets. First, choose the bankroll you intend to spend. Then, write down a sequence of small numbers (e.g. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5) – this sequence will determine the size of your bets. The first bet you’ll place will be a sum of the first and last numbers on your chosen sequence (1+5=6). If we imagine that $1 = 1 betting unit in your bankroll, this would mean you bet $6.

If you win: cross out the used numbers (1 and 5), and proceed by using the remaining first and last numbers (2+4). In other words, a winning streak will keep the size of your bets steady.

If you lose: instead of crossing out the numbers, add a number at the end of the sequence (turning it into 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7). The new bet will thus become $8 (1+7). In other words, when you lose, Labouchére increases your bet, which is how the future wins can make up for the losses.

Your goal is to cross out all of the numbers in the sequence. Once that happens, you’ll know you had a successful Roulette session!
